New Delhi ( Arsh News ) – You can get a clear picture of the overall development of socialism planned by Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, if you see the present reality of the DPRK under his guidance.
According to analysts around the world, the country is changing and developing comprehensively―both in the capital city and the regions, as well as in all spheres of social life including politics, the economy and culture. And it is achieving balanced and simultaneous development without an order of priority, viewed from the mode of development, and aspiring to world standards in light of content.
One example is the Regional Development 20×10 Policy advanced by Kim Jong Un.

The regional development policy was decided at the 19th Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea. It aims at improving the material and cultural standard of living of the entire population and increasing the potentials for regional development by building modern regional-industry factories at 20 cities and counties every year. Later the 11th Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee held in December 2024 decided to include the additional construction of advanced public health facilities, leisure complexes and grain storage facilities in the policy.
Consequently, modern regional-industry factories were built and inaugurated one after another in the regions equivalent to one-fifth of the country in 2024 and 2025. In 2025 the country built the Kangdong County Hospital, the Kusong City Hospital and the Ryonggang County Hospital and several leisure complexes, meaning that the scope of the regional development has expanded from material and economic life to healthcare, science and education and leisure activities.
Particularly, the construction of advanced public health facilities in regions is directly associated with the plan of Kim Jong Un to bring about a fresh revolution in public health by strengthening its foundation. He saw to it that 2025 was set as the first year of the public health revolution and the Pyongyang General Hospital was built as the parent body for modernized public health. He also expressed his plan to change the country’s public health foundation in a qualitative way in the coming decade. According to it, an advanced hospital is to be built in each of 20 cities and counties every year from 2026, and another general hospital like the Pyongyang General Hospital will be built in the capital city of Pyongyang.
In addition, Kim Jong Un announced his intention to take steps to facelift all schools and coal-mining villages across the country and to transform the newly-organized or the most backward ones among the tideland farms on the west coast of the country into modern and civilized rural communities.
